GIDC has been created for securing the orderly establishment and organization of industries in industrial areas and industrial estates in the state. To fulfil the above mandate, the Corporation has established 224 industrial estates. GIDC is now establishing Special Investment Regions, PCPIR, Industrial areas and large /sector specific estates in tune with the changing economic and industrial scenario.
Cumulatively GIDC has acquired more than 45,000 ha land for the development of industrial estates.
GIDC has a dedicated Industrial estate for Japanese investors at Khoraj, Mandal & Bhagapura and has a well-developed Japanese ecosystem. The Japanese industrial park provides an ecosystem of core manufacturing, allied industries, supporting facilities including testing labs, warehousing, logistic support etc. for the Japanese investors. The Japanese Industrial Park has a dedicated housing zone for the units coming up in Japanese Industrial Township. The Industrial Park provides best-in class infrastructure – excellent roads, including dedicated power, continuous water supply, and seamless communication systems along with social infrastructure such as education and healthcare centers.
